1. Are any of your family members musicians? If
so, what do they do?
My sister, Adrienne, from what I gather knows a little bit about singing.
She has sung since high school and sings with the group now. She also used
to play the violin.
2. What has been the highlight of your One World
Symphony career to date?
I liked driving back and forth from Bard to Poughkeepsie five times one night
so that Sung Jin could have all of his musicians perform at upstate. Also
playing the cymbals as a last minute substitute during Mendelssohn's "The
Midsummer Night's Dream" was quite memorable.
3. What would you say is your favorite piece of
music?
I like the Star Wars Theme by John Williams and the other hundred
people who wrote it. I don’t care if it’s not Beethoven.
4. What's the best thing about One World Symphony?
Going out after the concerts and having a great time eating and drinking
with everyone.
5. What music do you listen to in the car or subway?
I like Dave Matthews and Barenaked Ladies.
6. What is your favorite drink?
Manhattans. Also I like Scotch, straight Bourbon, Canadian Whisky, American
Whiskey, Rum, some Vodkas, rarely Tequila, and always Beer.
7. When you do have some free time, how do you
relax?
Refer to previous question and add a cigar.
8. Why do you continue to perform or participate
with One World Symphony when you can perform with other ensembles
or do other things that would offer more financial benefits?
Because my sister is married to the conductor and I'm supposed to be supportive.
9. If you weren't a musician what would you be?
Normal
10. Why would you recommend to other musicians
and the public to participate with One World Symphony?
Free food during rehearsals and concerts
11. What are your hobbies?
Smoking cigars, my car, going out, movies, and video games.
