1. Are any of your family members musicians? If
so, what do they do?
My mom's mom was a singer and my mom's dad was an amateur musician. My father's
side also had musicians; his brother won't stop playing clarinet!
2. What has been the highlight of your One World
Symphony career to date?
Carmen (!)
3. What would you say is your favorite piece of
music?
"Daphnis et Chloé" by Ravel
4. What's the best thing about One World Symphony?
THE PAY! ...just kidding!!! The best thing is the love/talent network of
personal and professional relationships...and free dinner! (...and the
sopranos!)
...And the worst moment (if any)?
...When Sung Jin cut off my hand and told me he was my father! (boy was I
confused! Last time I spar with him!) ...just kidding!...I guess the real
answer is lugging around that confounded keyboard!
5. What music do you listen to in the car or subway?
You mean my iPod?...Ravel, Saariaho, Schnittke, Grisey, '70s disco and '80s
new wave, Goldfrapp, The Smiths, Morrissey, Kate Bush...peppered with whatever
else I happen to have a 'sound' crush on at the time.
6. What is your favorite drink?
...Water ...Cookies and Cream with Peanut butter Milkshake (sinfully delicious!)
...Xorchata de la Chufa ...Creamy Chocolate milk ...steamed milk with vanilla
7. What was the most recent book you read?
...AP European History
8. When you do have some free time, how do you
relax?
People watching, wading barefoot through streams of consciousness, napping
in public (almost sounds risqué), walking, arguing with parrots and
trying out favorite dishes at different restaurants.
9. If you had the opportunity to time travel,
when and where would you prefer to live?
RIGHT NOW! I'll stay with the present...there's still so much going on here
to sink the little shark-like incisors of curiosity into!
...or perhaps I would live with myself, but with a two-second delay, singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat!..."
10. If you weren't a musician what would you be?
Frustrated, on the ground declaring, "I'll do anything for this job!
ANYTHING!" ...or maybe owning an ice cream parlor empire or anything
responsible for tooth decay and a gradual loosening of morals.
11. Why would you recommend to other musicians
and public to participate with One World Symphony?
It is positive, fun, musical and did anyone mention sopranos?!
12. What are your hobbies?
...movies, dining, chatting with friends, dream interpretation, weight lifting,
running, shopping used music book stores, reading up on stuff pertaining
to my composing and rupturing people's spleen (my well-intentioned good
cheer (when I smother them with love).
13. Wouldn't it be cool if I added a question?
...mmmaybe. *rolls eyes*
No further questions, your honor.
