1. Are any of your family members musicians? If
so, what do they do?
My dad and step brother play a little guitar. My two sisters played flute
when they were younger.
2. What has been the highlight of your One World
Symphony career to date?
I really enjoyed playing at Town Hall this last season! There were a ton
of people and we played some really cool music.
3. What would you say is your favorite piece of
music?
I don't know if I can say I have one favorite. Some of my favorites are Bruckner
4, Pines of Rome by Respighi, Mahler 2, or pretty much anything
with really cool low brass parts!
4. What's the best thing about One World Symphony?
The people. Everyone is so freindly and fun to be around.
5. What music do you listen to in the car or subway?
At the moment, I have been listening to a lot of trombone quartet music.
New York Trombone Quartet, 4 of a Kind, Xeno Trombone Quartet, etc... Other
than that, it could range from Harry Connick Jr. to Björk. I really
love all kinds of music and listen as much as I can.
6. What is your favorite drink?
I try to drink mostly water, but.....
Favorite Juice: Real Lemonade
Favorite Coffee: Lavazza (freshly ground of course)
Favorite beer: Black Butte Porter (made in Oregon)
Favorite mixed: Captain Morgan and Coke
7. What was the most recent book you read?
Broken Music: A Memoir by Sting
8. When you do have some free time, how do you
relax?
I've been trying to figure this one out recently. I think the thing that
best relaxes me is to walk by the river and watch the tug boats.
9. If you had the opportunity to time travel,
when and where would you prefer to live?
Around the 1880s Montana, when life was simple.
10. If you weren't a musician what would you be?
I have always loved recording music so I think I would try to become a recording
engineer. If that wasn't an option I would probably do something in electronics
or become an electrician.
11. Why would you recommend to other musicians
and public to participate with One World Symphony?
It's a great opportunity to listen to a wide variety of music played by some
really great musicians.
12. What are your hobbies?
I LOVE to play Paintball. Skiing, swimming, camping. Before I came here I
used to make log beds with my dad. Arranging music.
13. If you had a time machine, where and when
would you like to travel?
hmmmm....So many places, but I think I would still love to go see the old
west. You know, cowboys, saloons, gun fights, etc.
